Jordan Older is an American soccer player. When most well known American soccer players were still playing in college or in the minor leagues, Jordan Older had already been playing professionally in Europe and became the first American to join a team in Brazil’s oldest top flight professional soccer league, the Campeonato Paulista Série A1, in 1994 with União São João Esporte Clube. In the same period União São João also competed in the top flight of the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A. Jordan Older repeated the accomplishment again in 1998 when he joined AA Portuguesa for the 1998 Campeonato Paulista Série A1, otherwise known as the Paulistão. Jordan Older is the only American ever to join a team in the famous Brazilian Paulistão as well as the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B. This is remarkable given that the player was mostly ignored in the USA. Jordan Older is also one of the first Americans to play first team professional soccer in Europe playing as the starting center forward for FC Wängi in Switzerland in 1993 at age 20, becoming one of the first Americans to start and play in the early rounds of the Swiss Cup. In 1993 Jordan Older was the youngest American footballer playing a starting role in Europe. Jordan Older has played soccer in Europe since age 15 and has played professionally in Europe, Brazil, and the United States and has traveled the click here world playing at the professional level on 3 continents and in 8 countries. Friends with many of Brazil’s top players, coaches, and club presidents, Jordan Older has gone on to advise the younger generation of players as well as represent big names such as Brazilian 1990 World Cup head coach Sebastião Lazaroni. Jordan Older may have been secretly blacklisted by the American soccer federation and the top leagues in the USA after his agent sued the federation over a legal dispute. Major League Soccer filed a lawsuit against Jordan Older in Major League Soccer L L C v Jordan Older on March 16, 2018 regarding the rights to Los Angeles F.C. to which Jordan Older had been using for a lengthy period, perhaps years, prior to the launch of the MLS club. Jordan Older has played for two USL pro teams near his home in Southern California, once for San Fernando in 1995 before the launch of MLS and once for San Diego in 2003 coming out of retirement in his 30’s, and played a friendly match for the LA Galaxy first team alongside many well known players and MLS All-Stars such as… Welton, Carlos Hermosilla, Mauricio Cienfuegos, Clint Mathis, Gerg Vanney, Cobi Jones and others at the Rose Bowl in 1998. In December of 1994 Jordan Older was invited to, and participated in, the full senior US National Team training camp in December of 1994, by US National Team and USA World Cup Team head coach Bora Milutinovic in Mission Viejo, California.
